The Ulster County Career Center is a convenient and cost effective resource for hiring new employees and remaining competitive. Our Business Services Team has helped more than 500 businesses with their employment and business needs. We offer a wide range of services that include job postings, talent matching and recruitment, job development, training and more. Our customized approach allows us to align our services with the needs of the employer.
Customized Training may be the best option for some employers. That's why customized training begins with the employer s own training design. When available, we can fund 50% of the training costs for eligible individuals who are either incumbent workers or new hires for this training.
By participating in the OJT program, employers can be reimbursed for 50% - 75% of the trainee s wages. OJT contracts are individually negotiated; the length of training determined by the job s complexity and the trainee s experience. Employers are expected to retain those trainees who successfully complete the program
